ORACLEASM(8) Oracle ASM Support Manual ORACLEASM(8)

NAME
oracleasm - Support software for the Oracle ASM Generic Library

SYNOPSIS
	   oracleasm [--exec-path=<exec_path>] <command> [ <args> ]
	   oracleasm --exec-path
	   oracleasm -h
	   oracleasm -V

DESCRIPTION
oracleasm support is a set of programs for image management. These
tools manage resources available to the Linux implementation of the
       Automatic Storage Management library.

This manual page documents the oracleasm front-end program used to
access all of the underlying operations.

The /etc/init.d/oracleasm script is deprecated. See the
       oracleasm.init(8) manual page.

The COMMAND is the name of an oracleasm command (see below).

OPTIONS
       --version
Prints the version of the oracleasm program.

       --help
Prints the synopsis and a list of the most commonly used commands.
If an oracleasm command is named, this option will bring up the
usage for that command. If the option --all or -a is given then all
	   available commands are printed.

       --exec-path
Path to wherever your core oracleasm support programs are
installed. This can also be controlled by setting the
ORACLEASM_EXEC_PATH environment variable. If no path is given,
oracleasm will print the current setting and then exit.

ORACLEASM COMMANDS
The oracleasm support programs can be divided into high-level commands
and low-level commands. The high-level commands are the actual programs
a user will use. The low-level commands are used by the high-level
commands. This manpage is concerned with the high-level commands.

The commands are documented under the combined name of
oracleasm-<command>. They are executed as an argument to the oracleasm
program. Thus, oracleasm-configure(8) is executed as:

	   oracleasm configure

       oracleasm-configure(8)
Configure properties of the Oracle Linux ASMLib driver

	   Stop the ASMLib driver

       oracleasm-scandisks(8)
Scan the system for Oracle ASMLib disks

       oracleasm-update-driver(8)
	   Download the latest ASMLib driver

   Query Commands
       oracleasm-status(8)
Display the status of the Oracle ASMLib driver

       oracleasm-listdisks(8)
	   List known Oracle ASMLib disks
