NAME
       oracleasm-init - Load and initialize the Oracle ASMLib driver

SYNOPSIS
	   oracleasm init [-l <manager>] [-v]
	   oracleasm init -h
	   oracleasm init -V

DESCRIPTION
       The init command loads the Oracle ASMLib driver if needed, then
       initializes the MANAGER device with the appropriate permissions.

       This command does not scan for disks. Disks can be instantiated with
       oracleasm-scandisks(8).

OPTIONS
       -l|--manager <manager>
	   Specifies the manager device to be initialized. Almost always
	   unnecessary, as only one manager device is in use.

       -v|--verbose
	   Verbose operation. This will print any debugging information.

       -h|--help
	   Display usage information.

       -V|--version
	   Display version information.

EXAMPLES
       oracleasm init
	   Load the Oracle ASMLib driver and initialize the default manager
	   device.
