ORACLEASM-UPDATE-D(8) Oracle ASM Support Manual ORACLEASM-UPDATE-D(8)

NAME
oracleasm-update-driver - Update the Oracle ASMLib driver software

SYNOPSIS
	   oracleasm update-driver [-v] [-n] [-d] [<kernel_version> ...]
	   oracleasm update-driver -h
	   oracleasm update-driver -V

DESCRIPTION
The update-driver command determines the latest driver available for
the given KERNEL_VERSION of the Linux kernel and installs it. If no
KERNEL_VERSION is given, the currently running kernel is assumed.

If the system already has the newest version, no action will be taken.

registered. Otherwise, it will query the Oracle Technology Network.

OPTIONS
       -n|--dry-run
Determine what driver upgrades would have happened, but take no
	   action.

       -d|--download-only
Download an available upgrade, but do not install it.

       -v|--verbose
Verbose operation. This will print any debugging information.

       <kernel_version>
Determine available updates for this specific version of the Linux
kernel. Multiple versions may be specified, update-driver will try
	   to update all of them.

       -h|--help
	   Display usage information.

       -V|--version
	   Display version information.

EXAMPLES
       oracleasm update-driver
Upgrade the Oracle ASMLib driver for the currently running kernel
	   to the latest available version.

       oracleasm update-driver -d 2.6.1
Download, but do not install, the latest version of the driver for
	   kernel 2.6.1.
