NAME
videod - Video library (VL) daemon

SYNOPSIS
/usr/etc/videod [-I] [-pn] [-s] [-ld size] [-ls size] [-to seconds]
		     [-ctlWarnings] [-verboseLoad]

DESCRIPTION
videod starts the video library (VL) daemon.

videod handles communication between video devices and the system. It is
used to determine the devices connected and to provide device independent
access to the VL library.	See the vlintro(3dm) manpage for more
     information.

OPTIONS
-I Ignores all remaining command line arguments.

-pn Enables partial network mode, which allows the video daemon
to run without binding network addresses.

-s Enables secure network mode, which restricts connections to
the video daemon TCP port from the localhost.

-ld size Limits the resource data space to size KB. By default, this
number is the rlim_max value returned from a call to
getrlimit(2) with the resource RLIMIT_DATA. See the
getrlimit(2) manpage for more information on system
		 resources.

-ls size Limits the resource stack space to size KB. By default, this
number is the rlim_max value returned from a call to
getrlimit(2) with the resource RLIMIT_STACK. See the
getrlimit(2) manpage for more information on system
		 resources.

-to seconds The maximum time in seconds to wait for establishing new
socket connections. By default, the timeout is 60 seconds.

     -ctlWarnings
Display warnings when loading and setting device controls.

     -verboseLoad
Display verbose loading information for devices.
