Digital UNIX Diffs - sigsuspend(5) Digital UNIX Diffs - sigsuspend(5)

NAME
       sigsuspend, sigpause - Atomically change the set of blocked signals
       and wait for a signal

SYNOPSIS
       #include <signal.h> int sigsuspend(
	       sigset_t *signal_set_mask); int sigpause (
	       int signal_bit_mask);

PARAMETERS
       Specifies the set of signals to	block. Specifies which signals to
       block.

DIFFERENCES
       signal-mech(5): System V vs BSD Signal Handling Differences

       The sigpause(3) function was provided by System V and BSD systems to
       atomically block a set of signals and then wait for a signal.

       Digital UNIX provides a compatibility function sigpause(3). However,
       it is suggested that code written to atomically block a set of signals
       and then wait for a signal use the POSIX standard function sigsusā€
       pend(2).
