SYNOPSIS
/usr/sbin/l2cmd [--scdev device_name] command
DESCRIPTION
The l2cmd utility allows an L2 System Controller command to be executed
directly from the host OS command line. command is sent to the L2 System
Controller (through L1 System Controller), and the text result of the
command is displayed.
Valid command line options are:
--scdev device_name
Specifies the device that should be used to communicate with the L1
System Controller. Valid devices are /hw/module/*c*/L1/controller
(IRIX) or /dev/snsc/*c* (Linux). When this option is not specified,
l2cmd selects the L1 System Controller of the brick with the lowest
numbered rack and slot in the system. The command is then sent to
the L2 System Controller that this L1 is connected to
command
This is the command to the send to the L2 System Controller. After
all of the command line options to l2cmd are processed, the
remainder of the line is used as the command to issue to the L2
System Controller.
EXAMPLES
$ /usr/sbin/l2cmd serial
Report the System Serial number stored in the L2 System Controller
(connected to the brick with the lowest numbered rack/slot in the
system).
$ /usr/sbin/l2cmd '* l1 version'
Report the firmware version of all L1's in the system, as reported by the
L2 System Controller (attached to the brick with the lowest numbered
rack/slot in the system).

Report the firmware version of the L2 System Controller attached to the
C-brick at rack 2, slot 13.
