Name
     l1cmd - Send a command to the SGI L1 System Controller

SYNOPSIS
     /usr/sbin/l1cmd [--scdev device_name]  command

DESCRIPTION
     The l1cmd utility allows an L1 System Controller command to be executed
     directly from the host OS command line.  command is sent to the L1 System
     Controller, and the text result of the command is displayed.

     Valid command line options are:

     --scdev device_name
	  Specifies the device that should be used to communicate with the L1
	  System Controller.  Valid devices are /hw/module/*c*/L1/controller
	  (IRIX) or /dev/snsc/*c* (Linux).  When this option is not specified,
	  l1cmd selects the L1 System Controller of the brick with the lowest
	  numbered rack and slot in the system.

     command
	  This is the command to the send to the L1 System Controller.	After
	  all of the command line options to l1cmd are processed, the
	  remainder of the line is used as the command to issue to the L1
	  System Controller.

EXAMPLES
	  $ /usr/sbin/l1cmd serial all

     Report the System Serial number and board serial numbers stored in the L1
     System Controller (of the lowest numbered rack/slot in the system).

	  $ /usr/sbin/l1cmd log

     Dump the message log in the L1 System Controller (of the lowest numbered
     rack/slot in the system).

	  $ /usr/sbin/l1cmd --scdev /hw/module/002c13/L1/controller log

									Page 1

     Dump the message log in the L1 System Controller of the C-brick at rack
     2, slot 13.
