inet.local(4)inet.local(4)NAMEinet.local - File to invoke local network commands
DESCRIPTION
The inet.local file is a file that is called by /sbin/init.d/inet after
all the network interfaces are up and running, but before any other
network services are started. The file can contain those commands that
pertain to the local system. For example, you could set the system
time from the local network at boot time by editing the file and adding
a line containing the rdate -s command. If you needed to add aliases
for existing IP addresses, you could add the ifconfig command and argu‐
ments to this file.
The inet.local file is a Context-Dependent Symbolic Link (CDSL) and
must be maintained as such. See the System Administration manual for
more information.
