SYNOPSISXprt [ -[ option ] ... ]
DESCRIPTIONXprt is the Solaris print server for version 11 of the X Window system
for non display devices such as printers and fax machines.
The X print server reads configuration files for instructions concernā
ing which print DDX drivers to load and which printer names to support.
It may also read some DDX dependent configuration files. The printer
configuration files give information to the X Print Server that
describes the capabilities of the printer models.
To start the X Print Server on the command line:
# /usr/openwin/bin/Xprt &
The above command starts the server on display 0. This is usually the
display on which the Xsun is connected.
The following command instructs Xprt to connect to display 1:
# /usr/openwin/bin/Xprt :1 &
OPTIONS
The following Xsun options are supported for Xprt:
-ac
-audit int
-auth
-bs
-help
-I
-ld int
-lf int
-ls int
-sp file
-terminate

ENVIRONMENT
$XPCONFIGDIR This environment variable points to the root of the Xp
configuration directory hierarchy. If the variable is
not defined, the default path would be assumed.
The default Xp configuration directory, if XPCONFIGDIR
is not set, is:
/usr/openwin/server/etc/XpConfig
FILES
$XPCONFIGDIR/C/print/Xprinters
The Xprinters file will be loaded by the Xprint
server during initialization to determine which
printers will be managed.
$XPCONFIGDIR/C/print/attributes/document
The document and job attributes file defines the
print setup options.
$XPCONFIGDIR/C/print/attributes/job
The document and job attributes file defines the
print setup options.
$XPCONFIGDIR/C/print/attributes/printer
The printer attribute file defines the printer
capabilities.
