MPI_File_set_info(3)MPI_File_set_info(3)NAMEMPI_File_set_info - Sets new values for hints
SYNOPSIS
C:
#include "mpi.h"
int MPI_File_set_info(MPI_File fh, MPI_Info info)
Fortran:
INCLUDE "mpif.h" (or USE MPI)
INTEGER fh, info, ierror
CALL MPI_FILE_SET_INFO(fh, info, ierror)
DESCRIPTIONMPI_File_set_info sets new values for the hints of the file associated
with fh. MPI_File_set_info is a collective routine. The info object can
be different on each process, but any info entries that an implementation
requires to be the same on all processes must appear with the same value
in each process's info object.
MPI_File_set_info accepts the following arguments:
fh Specifies the file handle (handle).
info Specifies the object that contains the hints. Many info
items that an implementation can use when it creates or opens
a file cannot be changed easily once the file has been
created or opened. Thus, an implementation can ignore hints
issued in this call that it would have accepted in an open
call.
ierror Specifies the return code value for successful completion,
which is in MPI_SUCCESS. MPI_SUCCESS is defined in the
mpif.h file.
Notes for Fortran
All MPI objects (for example, MPI_Datatype, MPI_Comm, MPI_File) are of
type INTEGER.
