NAME
     lid aid eid gid - Look up various symbols in ID database

SYNOPSIS
     lid option pattern

DESCRIPTION
     Query ID database and report results.

     By default, output consists of multiple lines, each line containing the
     matched identifier followed by the list of file names in which it occurs.

     Use 'lid --help' or 'info lid' to see the full usage output.

     aid is equal to lid -ils

     eid is equal to lid -R edit

     gid is equal to lid -R grep

     For the vi imparied ... use the lid -v option.  This will cause the
     output of lid to allow simple cut and pasting of lines for the vi editor.
