NAME
     ha_gcd - group communication daemon

SYNOPSIS
     ha_gcd [ -hilV] [ -c conffile ] [ -n nodename ] [ -p portno ] [ -s loglevel ] [ -L logpath ]

DESCRIPTION
The Group Communication Daemon (ha_gcd) provides an atomic messaging
service in a highly available cluster. This daemon is layered on top of
the Cluster Membership Services Daemon (ha_cmsd), which presents a
consistent view of node membership in the presence of node and network
failures. The ha_gcd presents a consistent view of group memberships in
the presence of process failures and changing node memberships.

OPTIONS
     The ha_gcd takes several options:

-h Display help message regarding ha_gcd options.

-i Run in independent mode: do not talk to ha_cmsd.

     -l Run ha_gcd as a foreground process.

-V Output the version of this ha_gcd.

-c conffile Read ha_gcd configuration from conffile database.

-n nodename The nodename used by the ha_gcd process to connect to the
ha_cmsd, ha_srmd and ha_fsd processes. This option can be
used to run multiple ha_gcd processes on a machine. The
nodename argument corresponds to the virtual nodename used by
		 each ha_gcd process.

-p portno Set port number used by ha_gcd for inter ha_gcd communication
		 to portno.

-s loglevel Set the log level of the messages logged to stderr to
		 loglevel.

-L logpath Set the log directory used by ha_gcd to log messages to
		 logpath.

FILES
/var/cluster/ha/comm Directory used to create communication files for
     ha_gcd clients.

/var/cluster/ha/tmp Directory used to create temporary ha_gcd dump
     files.
