PARAMETERS
v expects a variable into which to copy a string. Reserve at
least a 12 character buffer.
FUNCTION RETURN VALUE
There is no longer any use for the returned value of this function; it
will always be zero.
DESCRIPTIONgversi fills the buffer, v, with a null-terminated string that specifies
the graphics hardware type of the currently selected screen and the
version number of Graphics Library.

This subroutine is available only in immediate mode.
Early serial numbers of the Personal Iris do not support the complete
Personal Iris graphics functionality.
The VGXT string is truncated to fit into 12 characters, the minor release
