XineramaActive(3X11) X11R6 XineramaActive(3X11)
NAME
XineramaActive - returns the state of the Xinerama extension
SYNTAX
#include <X11/extensions/Xinerama.h>
Bool XineramaActive(
Display *dpy,
int screen_number
);
ARGUMENTS
dpy Specifies the connection to the X server.
screen_number
Specifies a given Xinerama screen.
DESCRIPTION
XineramaActive returns the state of the Xinerama extension
on the specified display connection dpy, for the Xinerama
screen screen_number.
XineramaActive returns True if the given screen is an active
Xinerama screen, False otherwise. An active Xinerama screen
is a large logical screen composed of multiple underlying
physical screens (also called frame buffers).
DIAGNOSTICS
BadValue
screen_number is out of range.
NOTES
Currently, all the physical screens managed by the Xinerama
enabled X server are combined into one active Xinerama
screen. This means that screen_number should be 0.
Xinerama is still not an Xorg standard. Thus, the interface
may still evolve.
