NAME
       sigpending - examine pending signals

       SYS$SYNCH - Synchronize processes

EXPLAINATION
       The  Digital UNIX sigpending system call provides functionality similar
       to the OpenVMS SYS$SYNCH system service.	 It does this by allowing  the
       calling	program	 to  examine the set of pending signals.  Digital UNIX
       signal may not be queued.
