NAME
sigsend, kill - send a signal

       SYS$DELPRC - Delete process

EXPLAINATION
The Digital UNIX sigsend system call provides functionality similar to
the OpenVMS SYS$DELPRC system service. Sending a SIGKILL signal to a
process	forces	it to	terminate. Generally, it is better to send a
SIGABRT signal so the receiving process can catch the signal, clean up,
and exit gracefully. For more information and a list of signals, see
       the signal(4) manual page.
