NAME
sigaction - specify action to be taken upon delivery of a signal

       SYS$DCLAST - Create an AST

EXPLAINATION
The Digital UNIX sigaction system call provides functionality similar
to the OpenVMS SYS$DCLAST system service. It allows the calling pro‐
gram to set a procedure to be executed at a later time. However, sig‐
nal handling functions installed by sigaction are only invoked when
their signal is delivered. This delivery can be actuated by an outside
program or the program itself.	Signals are sent using either the
sigsend	or the kill system calls. Use of the sigaction and sigsend
POSIX system calls is recommended over using the older signal and kill
       system calls.
