NAME
fork, vfork - create a new process

       SYS$CREPRC - Create process

EXPLAINATION
The Digital UNIX fork system call provides functionality similar to the
OpenVMS SYS$CREPRC system service. The fork system call makes a copy
of the	currently running image and continues execution of both pro‐
cesses.	However, the child process is returned a zero from the fork
call while the parent process is returned the process ID of the child
process. To create a different process, the exec call should be used
after the fork call. The vfork system call is only provided for com‐
patiblity reasons, it operates the same as the fork call does.
