NAME
strcmp - perform a string compare

       STR$COMPARE - Compare strings

STR$COMPARE_EQL - Compare two strings for equality

EXPLAINATION
The Digital UNIX strcmp function covers the same functionality as the
OpenVMS STR$COMPARE string manipulation routine. The strcmp function
compares the two strings it takes as arguments. It return 0 if the
strings are equivalent, less than zero if the first string is greater,
greater	than zero if the second string is greater. The string length
is taken into account by strlen. A shorter string is not padded with
       spaces.
