MPI_FILE_GET_POSITION_SHARED(3)		       MPI_FILE_GET_POSITION_SHARED(3)

NAME
     MPI_File_get_position_shared - Returns the current position of the
     shared file pointer in etype units relative to the current view

SYNOPSIS
     C:

	  #include <mpi.h>

	  int MPI_File_get_position_shared( fh, offset )
	  MPI_File	   fh;
	  MPI_Offset	   *offset;

     Fortran:

	  INCLUDE "mpif.h" (or USE MPI)

	  INTEGER fh, ierror
	  INTEGER(KIND=MPI_OFSET_KIND) offset
	  CALL MPI_FILE_GET_POSITION_SHARED(fh, offset, ierror)

STANDARDS
     This release implements the MPI 2.0 standard, as documented by the MPI
     Forum in the July 1997 release of MPI: A Message Passing Interface
     Standard.

DESCRIPTION
     MPI_File_get_position_shared returns the current position of the shared
     file pointer in etype units relative to the current view.	This routine
     accepts the following parameters:

     fh		    file handle (handle)

     offset offset of shared file pointer (nonnegative integer)

Fortran Programs
     All MPI routines in Fortran (except for MPI_WTIME(3F) and MPI_WTICK(3F))
     have the additional argument ierror at the end of the argument list.
     ierror is an integer and has the same meaning as the return value of the
     routine in C. In Fortran, MPI routines are subroutines, and are invoked
     with the CALL statement.

     All MPI objects (such as MPI_Datatype(3) and MPI_Comm(3)) are of type
     INTEGER in Fortran.
